Why?
How come tri-cornered hats are so hot? I know they are NOW, what with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom swashbuckling away, but I have always thought they were oddly appealing, even when I knew them only from Revolutionary War illustrations and "Amadeus," neither of which feature any hotties. So why do I keep hoping someone on Project Runway will bring back the knee-length knickers/tri-cornered hat look? *Sigh* I can only dream.

I find it terribly amusing that you like the tri-cornered hat. " Mein hut er hat dri eichen"? Right? The only other german I know is swear words and things like " Gut in Himmel". But back to the hat. Didn't you see Austin Scarllet from Season 1 of Project runway sporting one when they had the season reunion.
I for one am partial to the knee high leather boots. Makes a man really look manly.
In response to John's comment, that song was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this post. Secondly, Johnny Depp has also made excessive amounts of black eyeliner on a man look attractive, so I really think the possibilities are endless. Soon we'll all be sporting weird uneven haircuts, leather body suits, purple top hats, large white sunglasses, and scissors instead of hands. That man has no idea the power that he wields...
